Inside lining too harsh

Darling boots, the reason I bought them and in the correct size for friend’s 3 yr old. Unfortunately, the inside lining made the boot more difficult to get on and after wearing, her little one had blisters on her heels. Instead of returning, the mother is going to try to use horse leather to smooth out the inside lining. The boots are so cute and she desperately wants to try to make them work, so will give the horse leather a whirl.
